Celebration of life for

Emerita R Davidson
 
Emerita (Mer) R. Davidson was born December 4, 1942 in Albay, Philippines.  She met her one and only, the love of her life Robert L. Davidson in 1968.  When he served in the U.S. Air Force.  She was united in Holy Matrimony in 1969 to Robert Davidson of Eatonvile , Florida and two children were born of this union.  Lynetta and Sidney.
 
The family moved to George Airfare Base in Victorville, California in 1970.  Robert later enlisted in the U. S. Navy in 1981.  While her husband served in honor of his country.  Mer raised their children in Eatonville, Florida.  The Davidson family created a home in Orlando, which kept them close to their extended family in nearby Eatonville.
 
The Davidson family moved back to Eatonville, Florida in 1998 with their grandchildren.  They all attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.  Mer was a faithful and dedicated member  of her church.  She and her husband praised God from the same pew for 26 years.  The couple participated in the Couple’s Ministry.  They watched their grandchildren grow up through the Children’s Chapel and Youth Ministry.  Years later, the Davidson’s gained  two new grandchildren that reside in California.
 
Emerita enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and being with family.  She always made all people feel welcomed and made sure to feed everyone she encountered.  She opened her home to all people.  She was a nurturing figure in the town of Eatonville.
 
She loved watching late night news and following sports such as basketball and volleyball.
 
Emerita departed this life Friday afternoon on March 8, 2024, to enter God’s promise of Eternal Life.  Proceeding her in death are her parents, and her in-laws WD and Martha Eunice Davidson.  sister-in-law Shelly Davidson McKinney: and nephew: Michael A. McKinney.
 
She leaves to cherish her loving memory: a devoted HUSBAND:  Robert L. Davidson: DAUGHTER; Lynetta Davidson: SON; Sidney Davidson (Geodi):
GRANDCHILDREN; Nygia Logan, Nyesha Logan (Akeem Jones)  Monterio Logan Jr., Michele Logan., Michael Davidson, Melanie Davidson and Breanna Jones:
brother-in-law Milton McKinney; Niece: Jennifer McKinney Battle (JW Battle);  GREAT-NEPHEW; Jay Michael Battle and Jones Davidson; AUNTS/UNCLES: Pauline Smith, Datahrin Gant. Thomas Payne and Alene Sanderson and a host of other loving and caring friends and family.
