Remembering the Life of

Clarence Benjamin Cobb

Affectionally Known As “BRO Cobb”

Clarence Benjamin Cobb was born on January 31, 1950 in Sanford, Florida to the late Walter Curtis Cobb and Marion Booker Cobb. Clarence was the second child born to this family.

“Bro Cobb”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was converted and attended Grant Chapel AME Church, Oviedo, FL.,  during his formative years.

He received his early education at Jackson Heights Elementary School in Oviedo, Florida, and Crooms High School in Sanford, Florida. After graduating he was drafted to the U. S. Army serving in Fort Riley, Kansas as a Military Police/Prison Guard and was ranked as an E-5 Sergeant.

“Bro” loved his family and friends. He always greeted you with a smile and never complained. He loved joy rides accompanied by close friends James Montgomery and Joseph Jones.  James, being the great friend he was, would also assist “Bro” whenever needed.

Clarence was employed at Golden’s Funeral Home in the seventies as a funeral assistant. He was employed as a construction worker with various construction companies during his healthy years. He also worked as a gunite operator with Atonio &   Brothers Swimming Pool Company.
