REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF
DONALD STEVEN LAWRENCE
Donald Lawrence, fondly known as “TC” and “Top Cat” by friends and family, was born January 22, 1962 in Sanford, Florida to the parents of Ernest Lawrence and Dorothy Lawrence. He was educated in the Public Schools of Seminole County. Upon graduation from Seminole High School he continued to further his education by attending Seminole Community College (now known as Seminole State College in Sanford, Florida.
Donald “TC” began employment at the tender age of 12 with his father at Earnest Lawrence Well & Drilling. At the age of 18 he made the decision to serve his country by enlisting in the United Sates Army. After proudly serving his country, Donald later became a Juvenile Detention Officer for Orange Regional Juvenile Detention Center for 10 years. He was also an employee of Designer Services Group. Donald worked in Plant Maintenance at Lyman High School, retiring in May 2023.
Donald met and married the love of his life, Edith Mitchell. They were married for 31 years.
Donald gave his life to Christ and was a member of The Fountain Worship Center (formerly known as Fountainhead Baptist Church) under the pastorate of Reverend Victor Blair.
“TC” loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid reader and loved watching Sci-Fi movies and TV shows.
All of the earthly things are behind Donald now. He traded earth for eternity on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Advent Health in Orlando, Florida.
He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Ernest Lawrence.
