REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF REVEREND PAUL BENOIT
Paul Benoit, affectionately known as “Pastor P” was born August 9, 1954 in New Orleans Louisiana, to the late William and Mabel Benoit. He was the 5th child of 6 children.
Paul grew up in New Orleans 9th Ward and attended Carver Middle School. He is a graduate of Carver High School. After graduating, Paul enlisted in the US Army, completing Basic Training at Ft. Polk, Louisiana and Computer training in Heidelberg, Germany. Upon receiving an honorable discharge from the United States army he returned to New Orleans where he enrolled in computer science courses at Southern University.
Later he relocated to Southern California where he spent the majority of his adulthood. There, Paul pursued an acting & Modeling Career. Life brought him back to New Orleans where he received his call to become a minister of the gospel. After responding to his call into the ministry he subsequently became an ordained Reverend at Greater Little Rock Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA.
In everything there is a season. In that season he crossed paths with his soon be wife at a Saint/Falcons game. After relocating to Apopka, Florida, he married his lovely wife, Catina. Paul was a faithful servant and member at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Park Florida. A few years later he moved his membership to Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Crystal Rivers, Florida and served faithfully. The work of the Lord was always first and foremost in his heart.
Paul was a web master/ web designer. He was an awesome chef and loved traveling, fishing, fellowship and movies. Paul loved having a good time.
Paul and his wife Catina became entrepreneurs in 2015 when they established their first business BENOIT’S BACON which specializes in gourmet bacon. They further ventured into business ownership with their second business in 2018 in the establishing of DESIGN 369 a T-shirt business.
Paul is predeceased by his parents William and Mabel, and siblings: Zelda, Sonya, David, Thomas, and Patrick.
He leaves to treasure his memories a faithful, loving and devoted wife: Catina Benoit; sons: Patrick Benoit of Lancaster, CA, Brandon Benoit of Philadelphia, PA, Damien Benoit (Shanell) of Houston, TX, and Paul Benoit Jr. of Compton CA; daughters: Dominique Young (Michael) of Somerset, New Jersey, Lanoshka Benoit of Las Vegas, NV, Aysha Benoit of Compton, CA, Moriah Benoit of Reston, VA and two bonus children Kyle Stalling Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL and Keosha Hardy of Vienna, GA; favorite niece: Danielle Benoit; favorite nephew: Thomas Benoit, Jr.; 16 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and church family.

To Katina, and family, I am so sorry for the loss of Paul! I didn’t know that he was ill, so this is such a shock to our family.
May God wrap His loving arms around each of you during your time of grief!
