  OBITUARY

Diane Deloris Simmons, daughter of the late Daniel and Maggie Christian was born October 7, 1956. She attended the Sumter County Public School System and graduated from South Sumter High School in 1974. She met the late Jack Simmons, Jr. and they blended families and married in 1999.

Diane was an active member of MT. Olive Missionary Baptist Church for many years.

Diane, an entrepreneur was a proud owner of a daycare facility touching the lives of many families and children. She was a mother to many.

On Tuesday January 17, 2023 around 3:30am, God in His infinite wisdom and mercy saw that Diane had finished her assignment. He spoke softly and said, “It is done! I am well pleased.” He gently called the name, DIANE DELORIS SIMMONS, saying, “Your work here on earth is now complete. You are now invited to come home!”
Diane is predeceased by her parents; husband, Jack and sister, Dannie Sallie.

Diane leaves to cherish her memories and continue her legacy: 1 son: Lazzary Mobley Sr.; 1 daughter: Contessa Kelley (Orthneil); A host of Bonus Children; two sisters: Wanda (Michael) White & Cassandra Williams; 12 Brothers: Elvin, Robert, John (Helen), Eugene, Anthony (Pearlie), Larry, Ricky, Steve, Gregory Christian, Edward Singleton (Delores), Maxwell Jackson and Tony Gavin (Tiffany); 5 grand children: Lazzary Mobley Jr., Lalani Mobley, Laila Mobley, Eric Jasper Jr. (E.J.) and Essiance Jasper (Neven); Special Friend: Victor Small; Bestie: Wanda Rushing; Devoted Cousin: Wanda Tarrand and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
