Obituary

HAZEL MAY SPENCE

Hazel May Spence was born to Eugene & Mabel Ulett on August 7, 1930
in the parish of Westmoreland, Jamaica, where she spent most of her
formative years.

She met & married Melvin James Spence in Montego Bay, Jamaica,

and the couple eventually migrated to England to further their
careers & education.

While in the UK, she gave birth to their son, Kenrick Anthony.

Very soon after Kenrick’s birth, the family returned to Jamaica,

where Aunt Hazel, as she is affectionately known by most, was employed

as an office administrator with one of the top pharmaceutical companies

in the island. Later on, she & Melvin migrated to the US to be closer to their grandchildren.

Melvin preceded her “in Glory” In 2008.

Hazel passed away peaceably on Saturday, December 10, 2022. She is
survived by son, Kenrick (Ricky), daughter-in-law, Karen (Wendy),
grand-daughter, Rachael Simone, grand-son, Kenrick Anthony, Jr.,
(Kenny), sister, Olga Kirlew, (Bidi) & a host of cousins, nieces, nephews & friends.
