Clarine Stephenson
Clarine Stephenson was born on December 15, 1929, in Wiccacanee Township, Northampton County, North Carolina, to the parents of John and Vergie Powell. She transitioned on May 31, 2022 at the Advent Health Hospital in Winter Park, Florida.
Clarine moved to New Jersey with her husband, Aulander Stephenson, and their two young daughters, Margaret and Brenda. Three additional children were born to this union. (Vernell, Bernard and Jacqueline).
Clarine’s children were her primary focus and she loved them dearly. She worked as a Home Health Aide for many years.
In 2008, the family relocated to Winter Park, Florida, until 2011. She lived in Van Nuys, California, until returning to Winter Park, Floria, in 2014 and soon united with Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Winter Park, Florida.
Clarine loved playing bingo at the Winter Park Senior Center and with her grand and great grandchildren when they visited during the summer.
In addition to her parents, Clarine was preceded in death by (husband) Aulander Stephenson: (son) Bernard; (brothers) Curtis, Ben and Emanuel; (sisters) Vergie Lee, Lucia and Celestine.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories (four Daughters) Margaret Redmon, Jacqueline Stephenson (Winter Park, Florida), Brenda (Marion) Johnson (Carson, California) and Vernell Wilson (Suitland, Maryland): (four grandchildren) Marcel and Leshell Harley, Kimberly Calebrese-Clayton and Amber Clayton; (six great grandchildren) Dashon, Destiny, Amaiya, Devin, Kaiden and Jakoda; (a devoted friend) Brenda Allen; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and sorrowing friends.
