Obituary

LULA MAE WALKER PAUL

“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”    -Ecclesiastes 12:7

Mother Lula Mae Walker Paul, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and follower of Christ, in her 96th Season of Life transitioned to eternal rest the afternoon of January 26, 2022.

Mother Lula Mae Walker Paul was born in Macon County, Georgia on December 12, 1925 to the late Ike Walker and Tinnie Tukes Walker.

She moved to Winter Park, Florida in 1956. There she met Mr. Roosevelt “Robell” Paul and they were married in 1967. He predeceased her in death in 1989.

Mother Paul was employed as a housekeeper at Rollins College, retiring after 30 years of service.

Mother Lula Mae was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Winter Park, FL. As a member she served on the Usher Board, Women’s Mission and Senior Choir.

She was member of the Eastern Star.

Lula Mae is preceded in death by her parents and stepson, Jimmy Paul.

She leaves in God’s care and to carry on her legacy of love: one daughter, Jannis Edwards (Orlando, FL); step-daughter: Winnie Paul Burton (Eatonville, FL); step son: Norris Paul (California);  three sisters: Mattie Thomas (Atlanta, GA), Essie Wimberly (Butler, GA) and Lizzie Colbert (Oglethorpe, GA); two Granddaughters: Antoinette Paul and Carlotta Brown;  two grandsons: Tony Emmanuel and Larry Phinnizee; 16 great- grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; god daughter: Yolanda Key Campbell and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, church family and friends.
