Minister Roy Calvin Hall

Minister Roy Calvin Hall was born in Macon, Georgia on July 21, 1946. He is the son of the late Wesley G. and George Hall. He departed this life to receive his eternal rewards on Thursday February 3, 2022. He was the youngest of 6 brothers; four brothers and one sister have preceded him in death. 

Minister Hall was educated in the Macon, GA public schools system. He joined the United States Navy serving his county for 20 years and was honorably discharged as Chief Master of Arms. He later attended Florida Tech to become an electrician. 

He was employed with the Devereux Foundation retiring after 15 years of service. 

Minister Hall married his childhood sweetheart Bettie Jean Hutchings sharing 54 years of marriage. To this union they were blessed with 2 sons, Larry and Shawn. 

In 2009 Minister Hall became a member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Park, FL. He was an active member of the “Famous Male Chorus.” 

He accepted God’s call into the ministry and was licensed by Rev. A. C. Cobb in 2012. 

His favorite past time included reading his Bible, cooking on his grill and spending with time his family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his parentsGeorge and Wesley Hall; brothers: George, Sidney, Albert and Alvin, and his sister, Elaine. 

Roy leaves to celebrate his life and cherish precious memories his wife Bettie Jean; two sons: Larry (Dawn) of Jefferson, GA and Shawn of Orlando, FL.; granddaughter: Mykah; grandson: Matthias; brother: Benjamin ( Louise) Fernandina Beach, FL and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other r
