I just learned today that Jim passed away. I stopped by his house and found a sign that his house was going to be demolished. After knocking on some neighbor’s doors I found out that he passed.
My wife, Kathy worked for him for many years. Jim and I became friends and we golfed together, went to Magic games, played cards, and various other activities.
He was a great person. He became sort of a “mentor” to me and helped me with advice about starting my own business. He was a loner and was someone that didn’t involve himself in other people’s lives. But, he was always there for me.
We are so saddened to learn about his death. We loved him like family. I’m sure he didn’t want to bother us when he was sick and dying. We would have cared for him during that last year.
May he rest in peace knowing he will be greatly missed.
