Obituary

Olean Jenkins was born to the late Albert Oliver and Clara White, on July 24th, 1941

Olean was blessed with a large and loving family.  She created a family with Herbert Jenkins.  Olean helped raised her four children with patience, discipline and humility.  She didn’t believe in sparing the rod, but she spoiled them all rotten.

Olean was a comedian at heart.  She was kind and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter the size.  She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.

She received Christ as her personal Lord and savior and was a firm believer.

Olean leaves to cherish her memories, brothers John Oliver and Darian Kendrick; her sisters Venice Oliver Jackson, Irene Harley, Sorena Kendrick,  Lashawn Oliver and Erika Clayton; her daughters Shirly Wilson, Karen Thomas and KaSonya (Craig) Stevenson; Son Herbert (April)  Jenkins III;
her  grandchildren Joshua Wilson, LaToya Bratcher, Kyle (Brittany) Taylor,  Herbert Jenkins IV, Isaiah Jenkins,  D’juan  Lewis, Elisea McKinnon,  Jordan Jenkins,  Mariah Jenkins,  Liam Jenkins;

Her great grandchildren Joshua Wilson  Jr.,  Isaiah Wilson,  Kaylani Taylor,  Djuan Lewis Jr,  Delilah Jenkins and a host of family and friends

She is preceded in death by her father Albert Oliver and Mother Clara White;  brother Joe Oliver:  and grandson Timothy Thomas.

    Mom,today was a very hard day.I had to look at your face physically 1 more time before,I no longer will be able to see you in the flesh.As,I sat on the front row to keep an eye on on you,like I’ve always done
    as your protectector and thats when,I realized you NO LONGER needed a protector here on this earth.To be honest you never did God had you.God,has shined on you and he has set you free from everything.For I know that you are absent from your body but,now present with the LORD.Momma,thank you for being a great mother.You were called “MOM” a Mother Overly Motivated to Loving her Family NO matter what…There was no conditions on you loving your family…family, friends, associates and even strangers..But,then a again when did you ever met someone that didn’t love you back.You are and have always knew your baby daughter Sonya loved you dearly.Momma,please watch over Shirley now that you have gotten your wings….We Love you and already miss you..Your baby daughter Sonya.
