Annette Martin began her journey on Friday, December 15, 1950 in Wrightsville, Georgia to Lillian Crowder and Mal Mill.
She attended Hungerford and Wymore School in Eatonville, Fl. where she graduated. Annette met Carl Spencer Martin who was in the Army at that time marrying at age 19 and relocated to Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Between the years of 1975-1980 she began working as a cook at Morrison Cafeteria. She also worked at Winter Park Steak ‘n Shake as a skate waitress and Krispy Kreme. She moved back to Georgia for a few years and came back to Orlando, Florida in 2008 permanently where she met her long time beloved friend Joseph Leonard aka “Grandaddy Joe”.
The simplest things brought great joy to Annette. She enjoyed a quiet evening with friends, and loved the music of Tyrone Davis. She had an uncanny ability to find happiness in her daily activities. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met.
Annette transitioned peacefully from this earthly life Sunday morning. March 21, 2021. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her Mother Lillian Crowder and Mal Neal and sister Melvina Neal.
Those who will forever cherish loving memories of her include her children: DeCarlos Martin, Alandra Martin, Krishawn Barnes; Grandchildren: Rashunda Wesley, Arnetra Curtis, Sidney Curtis, Manuel Pugh, Karen Frazier, Donavan Crider and Travonn Frazier;
Great Grandchildren: Jonathan Jiles, Jr., Johntavious Jiles, Ja’zyah K. S. Jiles, Nayamah Jones, Jahzir Sheffield, Lyarie Pugh and Romainuel Tota along with other relatives and friends.
Our sincere condolences to the Martin & Stiff family. May the love you shared and God’s Grace co.fort you at this difficult time.🙏
