OBITUARY

LIFE REFLECTIONS OF
BILLY BILLINGS, SR.

Billy Billings, Sr. affectionately known as “Monk”, beloved father, husband, grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother, mentor, and friend was born in Edison, Georgia on October 23rd, 1951 to the late Clyde Billings and Annie Robinson-Billings.

While in school he made the Honor Roll and Principal’s list several times for his intelligence and very strong knowledge in mathematics.  He could do figures in his head as quick as a flash which led him to the huge accomplishment of graduating High School with his class.

He was well known for being a very fast runner.  He loved playing horseshoes, he loved going on his boat and fishing, he loved to barbeque and enjoyed time with his family and friends, he loved music and dancing, he was always dressed like a “King” when there was special occasion, he was always the first to arrive at a family or job reunion or function and gave his all in doing so and was always the last to leave.  Billy loved his cars as all Billings men are known for amongst so many other qualities he carried.  HE WAS A TRUE LEADER AND KING OF THE FAMILY!

Billy was employed for Universal Engineering Sciences for 25 years where he was loved and admired by many.  He mentored and pushed so many people to go beyond their potential and to never allow any obstacle to keep them down nor stand in their way and he lived this example also.  His intelligence still reigned supreme in his field, one thing that clients/contractors loved about him was that he was exemplary at going to a project that had an issue, assessing the situation, and coming up with a resolution that was both practical and efficient.  HE WAS TRULY REMARKABLE!

He had plans of retiring and caring for his loving sister, Ann, so that she could be with family in a comfortable setting in her own space, which shows that even in his freedom of not having to work, he still planned to devote his time to family.

He preceded in death by his father, Clyde Billings, his mother, Annie Robinson-Billings, his brother, Robert Billings, his brother, Bobby Billings, his sister, Debra Billings, his aunt, Meck, his niece, Annette O’Hara, his great niece, Tasheka Graham, his great nephew, Anthony Bush Jr., his mother-in-law, Queenie Mae Myers, and other family and friends that will forever be in our hearts.

On Friday, October 16th, 2020 he fell asleep in death.  We will always keep your memories in our hearts and spirit.
WE LOVE YOU WAY MORE THAN WORDS CAN EXPRESS!

Billy Billings Sr. leaves to cherish his precious memories:  Gloria Billings; Children: Billy Billings Jr.,  Shawn Billings, Michael Billings, Michelle Billings, Daniel Billings, Samuel Billings, Shameka Billings, Brock Billings; Grandchildren: Martinique Billings, Billy Billings III, Ronald Moses-Billings, Jordan Billings, Sierra Billings, Nike Billings, Mechelia Billings, Nyasha Billings, Ashlee Billings, Ariel Billings, Daniel Billings Jr., Nyteria Billings, Fiyah Billings, Steven Billings-Larson Jr., Serenity Billings-Larson, Jaquavon Billings-Bowers, Jeleesea Billings-Bowers, Brock Billings Jr., Braiden Billings, Brooke Billings, Adonis Billings, Braxton Billings;  Great Grandchildren, Alyanna, Miguel, Amelia, Noah, Halo, Tyler, Leroy, Maddison, Mason, Aria, Cali, Codi, Noah;  Siblings, Annie Johnson, Johnny Billings, James Billings, Donnell Billings, Daryl Billings, Wanda Billings, Jackie Billings.
