A TIME TO BE BORN
Gladys Paige was born on September 23, 1937 in Monticello, Florida to Amos Neely and Queen Elizabeth Neely. She was the fourth child in her family.
A TIME TO LEARN
Gladys attended Howard Academy in Monticello, Florida from first to twelfth grade.
A TIME FOR LOVE
On June 26, 1956, Gladys and Jesse Paige wed. and shared 56 wonderful years together.
A TIME TO LABOR
Gladys first job was a Nursing Assistant at Champaign Valley Hospital In Plattsburg, New York. When Gladys returned to Florida, she continued working as a Nursing Assistant at Winter Park Memorial Hospital. She later worked for Orange Public School in the transportation department retiring in 1995.
A TIME TO MOURN
Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband – Jessie Paige, daughter – Melinda Sharpe Crockett; sisters: Albertha Luna, Mary Roberts
brothers: James Neely and Vanderbilt Neely.
A TIME TO DEPART
On Wednesday, October 14, 2020, The Angel of death escorted Gladys from earth to glory where her soul rest in eternal peace.
A TIME TO REJOICE
Gladys’s love and legacy shall forever be cherished by her loving children: Sue Johnson (Eric), Pamela Stanley (Larry), Deborah Paige-Williams (Kip),
11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; Sisters; Bessie Webster, Gloria Talbert, Mary Ann Nealy, Gladys Nealy; Brother Maxwell Neely and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God:
I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee: yea, I will uphold thee
with the right the hand of my righteousness.
