HIS STORY
Christopher was born July 30, 1975 to Phyllis L. Hatcher and Huron J. Braxton. He transitioned from his earthly life to his eternal home on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, while as Osceola Regional Medical Center, Kissimmee, Fl. Chris was a member of Harbor House Abundant Life Ministry, Oviedo, Fl., at the time of his death.
Chris attended area schools: Oviedo Child Care, T. W. Lawton Elementary, Jackson Heights Middle and Oviedo High. At Oviedo High School he became a standout basketball player and star! His team won the Florida State AAAA Championship in 1992 and he was honored with the designation of Team Most Valuable Player. Chris grew in stature and popularity for his compassion and good nature. After high school Chris attended Florida Junior College-Jacksonville (now named North Florida Community College) on a basketball scholarship. Chris was a huge Orlando Magic Fan and was blessed to socialize with many of the team’s players during those early Magic days. He was recognized as “Big Chris” with the big smile that melted hearts wherever he was present.
Chris loved his profession as a salesman, particularly the work of meeting people interested in becoming time share owners! He knew his craft, was very tech savvy and very strong in customer service and filled with patience. At the same time, he was also very private. He stood as a man to do what he could for his family.
Our beloved Chris leaves to mourn his passing: His devoted mom, Phyllis; grieving dad, Huron; precious and beloved twin daughters; Amore & Destiny Braxton “Chris was very excited at the birth of his twins! Also, his siblings Dalvin, Darnell and Erica, aunts and uncles Carlin, Kurt/Shirley, Tony, Virgil and Ricky;
great-aunt Elizabeth and a host of loving cousins and friends.

I went to middle school with Chris and he was a wonderful soul! Strong, gentle and full of kindness for all. Wish I had spent time with him beyond school years . I send my deepest condolences to his family.
