Obituary:

A Time to be Born…

Mrs. Annie Mae Smith was born on December 11, 1940 in Norfolk, VA to the late Mr. Henry Ingram and Mrs. Anna Kearse Ingram.

A Time to Learn…

Mrs. Smith received her early education while growing up in Norfolk, Virginia and Fort Myers, Florida.

A Time to Love…

1970 Annie met and married the Reverend Robert Smith, of Georgia in Fort Myers Florida.  They were blessed with one son whom they loved and cherished dearly.

A Time to Live…

In 1975, they moved from Fort Myers, Florida to Oviedo, Florida to take advantage of new opportunities.  The then Mr. Robert Smith had just received a new job with Howard Fertilizer.  That same year, they purchased a home in Oviedo, Florida where they lived and enjoyed life until their passing.  In 1988, Mrs. Smith began working with the Seminole County School Board in the Jackson Heights Middle and Oviedo High School lunchrooms.  She was an amazing cook and was especially known by family and friends for her peanut butter bars.  She worked for the Seminole County School Board faithfully until her retirement.

In her spare time, Mrs. Smith enjoyed fishing.  She and her husband along with their son, Kenneth would take off and go fishing, often on the spur of the moment.  They would fish anywhere there was water and would somehow always be able to catch something.  No matter where they went, you knew they would always bring home fish.

A Time to worship…

In the early 1990’s Mrs. Smith followed her husband into ministry accepting the call pastor’s wife. Together they served several churches in the 11th Episcopal District, in Geneva, FL, Palatka, FL, Interlochen, FL with the final pastoral assignment in Jamestown, FL.   Never shying away from the call, they served two churches simultaneously, with a heart of great joy.

A Time to Mourn…

On November 10, 2018, Mrs. Annie Mae Smith peacefully transitioned from this life at the age of 77.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Henry Ingram and Mrs. Anna Kearse Ingram, along with her husband the Reverend Robert Smith.

She leaves precious memories that will be treasured with:

Son: Kenneth Smith, Sr. [Nakimba Wilson] (Sanford, FL); Grandsons:  Kenneth Smith, Jr. (Sanford, FL) and Quinu Harris (Baltimore, MD); and Granddaughter:  Kiana Smith (Casselberry, FL) and a host of loving church members and family friends.
