Obituary
The Life and Legacy of Stephen Fred White
A Time to be Born…
Stephen Fred White was born to Mr. Fred “Oocie” White and Mrs. Lois (Rhym) White in Sanford Hospital in Sanford, Florida on August 15, 1967. He was the baby of 9 siblings. He was affectionately called “Geeshie”
A Time to Learn…
He attended elementary school at English Estates and went on to receive a technical certification from Wymore Tech in Eatonville, Florida. While at Wymore Tech, Stephen excelled in both Basketball and Football. He was recognized for his speed and agility on the football field. He was known and loved for his strong work ethic both on and off the field.
A Time to Live…
Once Stephen graduated from Wymore Tech he became employed by the Rehabilitation Center in Winter Park. Where he worked for more than 22 years.
A Time to Love…
In 2005, Stephen and Mammie Shelton were united in holy matrimony in Winter Park, Florida. They often laughed about the fact that he had a little stuttering problem; but, he wasn’t afraid to talk to her and he eventually won her love with his heart of gold.
A Time to Mourn….
On May 23, 2018, Stephen departed this life and was preceded in death by his father Fred White, mother Lois White and brother Thomas Hill. He leaves precious memories with:
Wife: Mammie Leathashon Shelton White; Sisters: Jackie White (Winter Park, FL), Leath (Leroy) Hill, Rochester, NY, Vivian Hill, Rochester, NY, Angie (Michael) Haus (Deland, FL) and Brothers: Roderick (Leann) Green, Kingsland, GA, Ernest (Brenda) Hill, Orlando, FL and Donald Rhym, Longwood, FL
Auntie Gladys Roux (Philadelphia, PA and Uncle Leonard Rhym (Georgia).
A host of nieces and nephews and family members whom he dearly loved.
