Peggy Haynie Bryant was born was born April 24, 1937 in Winter Park, Florida to the late Herman Haynie and Margaret Haynie. Peggy was preceded in death by both parents, two sisters Margie Lee Haynie and Hazel Meredith, and four brothers Walter, Cannon, Robert and Edward Haynie.
Peggy attended Orange County Public Schools and graduated from Hungerford High School in 1955. At an early age she joined Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Winter Park, Florida. While a member of Mount Moriah, Peggy was a devoted member of the usher board, the church choir and participated in many other auxiliaries over the years.
For over 40 years, Peggy lived in Altamonte Springs, Florida where she raised her children. She was employed by National Cash Register (NCR) and retired after 25 plus years of service. After retiring she went back to part-time employment with the Orange County School Board until her health failed in 2016.
Peggy was an active member of Golden Star #49. She was also a member of the senior clubs in the local areas of Winter Park, Eatonville and Apopka. Peggy was also a volunteer in the grandparents program at Apopka Elementary School where she was well loved.
Peggy departed this life to be with her Lord on January 16, 2018. She leaves to cherish her memory two devoted daughters, Wilma Jean Haynie of Fern Park, Florida and Brenda Alayna Bouie (Marlon, Sr.) of Severn, Maryland; her remaining siblings Herman Haynie (Barbara) of Norwalk, Connecticut, Frederick Haynie of Orlando, Florida and Frank (Marguerite) of Orlando, Florida; a devoted Goddaughter Keturah Gammons (Jeffrey) of Sorrento, Florida; four grandchildren, Lawrence Haynie (Janice) of Henderson, Colorado, Marlon Jr. of Glen Burnie, Maryland, Jarell, US Army Fort Drum, New York and Hannah; four great-grandchildren Jadye, David, Madyson and Logyan; three God-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
