Eva Mae Singleton Brown was born January 7, 1947 in Pelham Georgia to the late Jessie Singleton and Toy Lee Singleton. Eva was preceded in death by both parents and her sister Annie Ruth McCormick.
Eva attended Mitchell County Public Schools in Pelham, Georgia. At an early age she joined Summer Hill Baptist Church also in Pelham, Georgia.
In 1965 she moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she married Charlie James Brown. She was employed in the Hospitality Industry for 35 years where she retired in 2011. After retiring she went back to part-time employment with Orange County School Board until her health failed in 2016.
She was baptized September 6, 2015 at the True Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ, where she received the Gift of the Holy Ghost under the leadership of Bishop Ernie Jones.
Eva departed this life to be with her Lord on January 11, 2018. She leaves to cherish her memory a devoted husband, Charlie Brown, two daughters, Jackie (Randy) Mathis and Redesha Thornton, two sons, Charles Brown and Keith Brown, sisters Betty Jean (Roy) Jackson Pelham, GA, and Shirley (Roosevelt) Hampton, Moultrie, GA, Brenda Williams, Thomasville, GA and Penny Williams, Pelham, GA and Patsi Moore, Pelham, GA; brothers Melvin Singleton, Nashville, TN and Willie Williams, Jr., Thomasville, GA and Alonzo Singleton, Camilla, GA and Alphonso Singleton, Pelham, GA and Desi Singleton, Pelham, GA and Craig Baron, Camilla, GA; aunts Ruby Merriweather, Pelham, GA and Iola Singleton, Pelham, GA and Rudeth Atkins (Pelham, GA) and Ruth Parker Manor, Hobeken, NJ; Willie Mae Williams, Plant City, FL; uncles James (Mable) Atkins, Augusta, GA and James Singleton, Pelham GA and; Stepmom Yvonne Singleton (Pelham, GA) and Stepdad Willie Williams Sr. Thomasville, GA; 17 Grandchildren and 15 Greatgrands
